An important update from Kicksled Alaska (Oct. 12, 2026)

After seven years, we’ll be closing Kicksled Alaska this winter. It wasn’t an easy decision, but we know it’s the right one for our family.

In the meantime:

❄️ We will not have store hours this fall.

🛷 We still have a selection of Kickspark Maxes available through our website. Pickup or delivery can be arranged.

We’ve loved sharing our passion for kicksledding and helping grow this community in Alaska.

DESCRIPTION

Do you feel the need for speed? Hands-down, this is the sportiest sled we sell! This sled flies down trails, across lakes and can be modified for Nordic mushing. 

The Kickspark Max was designed by famed Finnish designer, Hannu Vierikko, specifically for athletes. The light aluminum frame of the Kickspark Max is designed to enable the user to achieve high speeds and performance. 

We have a variety of accessories for different wintertime pursuits with the Kickspark Max. For ice-based pursuits, we have full-length (5’)  ice blades. For dog mushing enthusiasts, we have spring-loaded brakes and hardware to attach a lead for one or two dogs.

ABOUT KICKSLEDDING

Kicksledding offers a wonderful way to experience winter - from gliding down frozen trails to skating on the runners across frozen ponds. The sleds offer stability in winter conditions, speed when you want it and are versatile enough to be used by all ages and abilities--from toddlers to athletes and elders.

KICKSLED SAFETY

Children must have adult supervision while kicksledding. Do not allow children to drive their kicksled in unsafe conditions. The sleds can pick up very high speed on downhills. The same goes for adults carrying precious cargo (babies/children) as passengers. We recommend stepping off the runners and walking the sled down steep, fast or icy downhills. We always recommend wearing reflective gear and a helmet while kicksledding. More on kicksled safety here.
