Does your family share one kicksled or kickspark, or have an old sled that needs to be spruced up? Additional footrests can be placed on the runners to accommodate foot space for multiple drivers. If you plan on riding the runners with a kiddo standing in front of you, placing another set of footrests on the runners gives extra foot space and will make the ride more comfortable for both of you.
Having an extra set of footrests on the runners also comes in handy when being pulled by a dog. Having more surface are for your foot to land when you are in motion and being pulled by a dog is always a plus.
