About Kicksled Alaska
ABOUT KICKSLED ALASKA
Thank you for your interest in Kicksled Alaska. We are a family-owned business based in Anchorage, Alaska. Our mission is to build and support a kicksledding culture in Alaska and beyond.
Val Walsh was first introduced to kicksledding around 2010. Her father had purchased one from Craigslist as a means to keep up with the family husky. Fast forward to 2018, and that same kicksled took on a new purpose. This time, the sled was being used daily as a wintertime baby stroller - gliding across snowy trails - and for hauling camping gear to forest service cabins on the weekend.
Kicksledding has brought us immense joy. We look forward to sharing this joy with Anchorage and Alaska and can’t wait to see more kicksleds on the trails, lakes, sidewalks and in front of coffee shops and breweries across Alaska.
